YOUR OWN LITTLE WORKBENCH

From a bag of flour
to a better plan.

1. Give the pantry a price

Enter each ingredient’s pack cost, quantity and unit. An empty price means unknown; zero means explicitly free. Prices are your own estimates, not live market data. Choose one currency for the workspace before entering prices.

2. Build recipes you can reuse

Add ingredients or portions of another recipe, such as a filling or frosting. Sub-recipe costs include their own labor and overhead, so only add the remaining work to the parent recipe. Circular references are blocked.

3. Count the entire batch

Enter planned yield and expected loss, active hours, hourly rate, packaging and allocated overhead. Yield loss reduces saleable portions without reducing batch cost. Ingredient densities are optional and needed only to cross between weight and volume.

4. Choose a price you can explain

Select margin or markup. OvenMelt uses decimal arithmetic, carries precision through the cost calculation and rounds quoted unit prices to the currency’s standard number of decimal places. USD uses 2, KWD uses 3, and JPY uses 0. A quoted line is the rounded unit price multiplied by quantity, rounded to the same currency precision.

5. Make the quote your own

Edit customer-facing line descriptions, quantities, prices, delivery and notes. Print or save a carefully formatted PDF using your browser, or download an alternate plain-text quote. In the print dialog, turn off browser headers and footers to remove the page URL. Quotes preserve the agreed prices even when ingredient costs later change. No automatic tax calculation, payment collection or email delivery is included.

6. Get ready for production

Create orders with dates and status. Active orders contribute to a combined shopping list, including ingredients inside sub-recipes. Pack estimates round up per ingredient across all active orders. Existing stock is not deducted. Print a formatted purchasing sheet or export the raw quantities as CSV. Packaging and non-ingredient supplies should be planned separately.

Your browser is the storage

No account, shared access or cloud sync is included. Clearing browser data can delete your workspace. Export regular JSON backups and keep them private. Backups can restore the workspace on another browser or on the final domain after a preview.

Optional usage counts show which tools work and where people get stuck. Recipe details, entered values and files are never included. The tools work the same either way.
